Gaitan - Carmine rage island, how to
alright everyone, lets talk about how to beat gaitan properly, I am still noticing an overwhelming amount of people avoid this dungeon or struggle to actually play out the fight, so lets go over the whole thing.

Let's start with his attack pattern, its completely scripted and will almost always be the same depending on what the tank does.
Fight start, 2 normal swings, spin, fury attack, overhead slam, normal swing, overhead slam, 2 normal swings.
now 2 things can happen, if the boss has hit a health point below 90% he will go into his large scale mechanic, if the boss is still above 90% he will go into his rush mechanic.
if he is above 90% and goes into his rush he you will need to perform a rolling dodge 3x, if he hits 90% after this point he will go into the large mechanic.
after the large scale mechanic, if the tank stands at the edge of the fire zone in the middle the boss will simply walk towards them and go as followed: 2 normal swings, spin, fury attack, overhead slam, normal swing, overhead slam, 2 normal swings, rush mechanic, large spin, fury attack.
He will do this exact same pattern twice before initiating his next large mechanic.
if the tank is not next to the fire when the large mechanic ends the boss will instead rush towards the tank resulting in a small change in the first set of attack, instead of 2 normal swings before the rush mechanic only 1 swing will happen, this is because he is coded to do that attack at exact times.
if for whatever reason the boss moves around both of the normal swings before the rush voided will be voided and he will do it after the overhead slam.

the rush mechanic: normally this would be considered a very fast and hard to avoid attack, if you follow the pattern above you will know exactly when it is happening and it will be easy to dodge, just keep track of it.

the large mechanic: in this mechanic, when it is initiated the furthest player from the center of the arena will be marked with a red orb, this is important. during the mechanic itself 4 players will be chained to a pillar, the boss will strike 4 separate times and break the pillars, if you are caught in this area you are dead.
the area struck is up to where the next pillar is located, run over to the next one and you will be completely safe, make sure you use your dash morph to do so.
the first person that will be attacked will be the person who was marked with the red orb, the second player will be the one who initially had the axe mark above their head, after that it will complete the circle.
after the first area has been struck, everybody can move to the part where the first pillar was located, this part will no longer be hit and is a safe zone for the rest of the mechanic.

This is the entire fight, if you follow this you will never die to gaitan and he will be extremely easy to clear.

I jump for joy every time I see Carmine Rage with random matchmaking. The chances are the team wipe and I am in the boss room. EZ completion.

The charge mechanic is a shtshow usually, cause no one volunteers to bait and/or the rest of the team does not position properly. As a healer i started doing that job and it has been a good thing. After the spinning slash there will be a counter, a shockwave and a few normals, which is more than enough time to distance myself and ensure that the boss will run to a safe direction and towards me.

Even with that though, out of 18 clears i'd say that at least 10 were with only 4 players alive starting from 50%, effectively carrying two worthless people.
