Stuck in loading screen after character selection

So after more than 300 hours, last 2 days game gets stuck in the loading screen after I select my character and click Start.
I tried deleting the TL folder, and everything else. Haven't uninstalled the game yet and try a reinstall, but eh.
Anyone has experienced this or has any suggestion as to what might help?

Edit: So I tried clearing Steam download cache as some posts on reddit suggested and it still doesn't work. Now waiting for my alt to be deleted (1h wait really?) to try the "character on a different server" fix and see if that works.

Edit 2: Deleting the exe file and do the Steam verify didn't work either. This error 47 or whatever related to the server authentification with your Steam account has been around since at least 4 months ago (found reddit posts with people having this exact problem) and AGS clowns acknowledged it on their twitter at that time and claimed to have fixed it. Obviously a lie, it was probably judged that too few people are affected so they didn't give f's enough to fix it for real.

I regret spending money on this game now if this is a thing that can happen. Unbelievable.
And of course there's no way to contact them for support just Steam, which how would that help when it's AGS's fault. Ugh.

Looks like they have no plans of fixing it creating character may fix that once that character enter the tutorial switch character to main don't exit but you might delete the new character 1st because it will take an hour long

so far no one said that it fails or maybe it did but they did not bother to reply

I didn't have the chance to try this out but if it happens again this will be the first thing I'll try since it's easier than what I did. I just didn't have the patience to wait that 1h lol.
I finally got it to work again by uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

Great news! I got to test the "char on diff server" strat and it works :D yay
Bad news... after reinstalling the game I was able to log in normally a grand total of 1 (one) times! After that the bug/glitch/whatever was back and I couldn't get back in game... top kek, pro devs :P (and today's patch 1.8.4 is a clown fiesta just like last patch 1.8 hahaha)...

So now that second character on a different server I can't log in with that one either.
SO. It only works when you CREATE A NEW CHARACTER... bwahahahhahaha
So I have to make a character, switch to my actual character while deleting the one I just made (so I don't have to wait 1h to delete when I want to login) if I want to play. Yeah it's really starting to get on my nerves to the point I'm really close to drop this garbage. If only there was any other new or new-ish mmo out there. Ugh. I am having some fun with this tho so maybe I'll "endure" some more lol.
I've been playing games since the '90s and I don't think I've seen a more incompetent and pathetic game studio than AGS. Not even mmos like Sky Forge or Secret World Legends, which are in maintenance/abandoned mode have devs this bad.

This usually happens to me after every maintenance, and I have to figure out how to log in again without getting stuck in the character selection screen.

after my 1st maintenance it was never fixed, I was used to it by now but every maintenance I am testing normal login hoping for its fix but until now still on loop of creating new character and deleting it

Update: if you forgot to delete the new character it is ok, just delete it then switch to your main character and login it will let you login

maybe devs like people deleting their character
