my experience with 2 star dungeons so far
From easiest to hardest

Valley of slaughter - 9 clears

The freeze mechanic is so stupid that everyone just ignores it and assumes that you will survive the clap. You can save your barriers for this moment to make everyones lives easier (and prevent that 8k hp player from being kicked)

Mech wise is arguably simpler than the 1 star version, which is funny. it seems like you don't even need to kill the second sheep, as it does absolutely nothing. The basic patterns are simple, the only real risk of death are the meteors when channeling the orb, given that everyone is stacked in one place.

--------------

Voidwastes - 9 clears

Laser mech is very chill. Many times you can tank it for the entire cycle and you won't reach 30 stacks before the next breath which resets.
Breath mech is also very simple, arguably easier than 1 star since you don't rely on your allies to open gates.
Theres a nasty hp check though, the yellow eyes will deal around 10k damage to everyone. Shields are helpful, but rat alts won't make it.
I forgot to mention the red orbs, which somehow are a headache for a lot of people. They seem to simply not notice it, or try to drop them very far away and die in the process (didn't see the fury or wrath attack). Just run to your laser horn and drop near it, its that easy.

--------

Island of terror - 9 clears

The boss may bug sometimes and open with mist instead of rats, and people get very confused/die. If you ever see a mist start just stand still after the fireballs drop, you don't need to reveal the geysers at all. The fear circle also makes it more chaotic which may kill people who are mistakenly running around trying to dispel mist....which will be removed right after.

Rat mech is fine, but its very punishing if your ally has skill issue. What i mean with this is that if you burrow before the biting animation starts, the boss will imediately attack the next closest person, which can happen in a fraction of a second. He may even turn a complete 180 when this happens. So be wary of your own teammates, don't stand close to them and always expect the worst. Some players also run from the boss when being chased, and this can kill your allies aswell. The fear circle spins around the boss, so when he chases a player that circle will move along, which may hit rats standing behind him. So always try to follow the boss a bit, you will have enough distance to burrow either way. And don't move back! Zero reason to do that, you might even touch a flower and die cause of it.

Mist: Kinda annoying, and healer may have to dispel your burn stacks to keep people alive (which renders them unable to dispel mist).

The first problem here is getting hit by the fireballs, the initial hit is harmless but the secondary explosions stack and can kill you incredibly fast. If players are stacked it may also instakill due to multiple fireballs hitting you. The first round is not very important, ideally people focus on dodging and not losing much health, revealing geysers is secondary.
The second round is much better, the mist is already set so you have way more time to dispel it, and its clear which spots are left to be revealed. So relax and do the hard work at the second round instead.
It seems like geysers may not get bubbles sometimes, happened to me twice across dozens of pulls. The timing for second geyser is also very tight if its a distant one, and high ping players may simply be unable to get there at all.

---------------

Carmine rage island - 4 clears

Minibosses are annoying. Memory game is messy, it seems like failing that mech cuts your max hp by half(?)

Platform boss is also almost unreacheable for high ping players if they die, given that their ping delay makes the distance very hard to cover. Those broken edges at the platforms seem to be visual only, every time we pushed bombs there they didn't fall :fardy:

Sometimes you may be unable to grapple towards the next platform aswell. Very buggy fight, NCSOFT keeps trying to do cool stuff but forgets that the game is not smooth enough for it.

Main boss: I honestly don't quite understand what is the struggle with the main mech, just running out of your pillar already does most of the job. People also don't morph? Which makes no sense since you move faster with it. The spinning axe may be a death sentence if the free person or tank player does not take it, its especially deadly since it makes pillar players panick if they are the target. They just kite the axe at their own pillar and die to the slam...
The dot can be painful, but a flash arrow nullifies the dot entirely. Common seeker W.

But the most problematic mechanic is by far the charge. A lot of runs simply don't get a bait player, which already makes turns the clear into a russian roulette with 3 bullets. The charge damage is also ridiculously high, i've been oneshot with 11k hp (??) which is funny. The boss may also run you down twice in a row depending on where the "new" farthest player is. Players often try to trap the boss at the barrier to make it easier.

These runs were done through random matchmaking with 3 seekers (wand/bow), one being 2.6k and significantly weaker heals. It is worth mentioning that our version is severely nerfed in terms of mechanics, you can look up old guides on youtube to see the difference. One interesting example is with voidwaste breath mech, where its assigned to a completely random player, and the other 5 get a big circle around them which stuns other players. So it turns the mech into a team wide coordinated movement and explains why theres those stun spots spread across the arena. Very tough.

Good write up. Never forget to kick bads, you do NOT want to carry them to 3 star dungeons.

I usually try to not be too kick happy since i might be the skill issued eventually, but i'd be lying if the vast majority of players seem to be unable to do even 1 star dungeons :fardy:

I like Carmine Rage island. It gives me free EZ boss fights when I queue random.

"Throne and Liberty T2 gear delayed, Global release progression to be different from the Korean version. Throne and Liberty's highly anticipated Tier-2 (T2) gear has been delayed, as the developer is monitoring the player base's progression and adjusting the content pipeline accordingly"

Truly quite shocking that they release 2 Star dungeons.... but decided against releasing the gear that would help people maybe clear this stuff.

If they expect people to play the LONG game and grind Lucent to fully trait out their gear to be able to clear these dungeons they are hilariously disconnected with their player base.

I think that they did quite a bit with the mechanic nerfs, but it still needs some health and damage nerfs to feel good in my opinion. With 1 star dungeons, you had to play at the edge of your seat and it took long to clear aswell, but that was the very beginning of your gearing journey. Epic armors, more attributes, endurance, max health increases, more heavy/crit, these things would come by over time and have a direct impact on your performance and make dungeons feel "chill". The problem with 2* is that this progression has been cut, for a lot of players theres no more room to improve, at least not at a signifcant rate to make the daily process of farming these bosses relaxing (speaking for carmine and island of terror here).

Same here, I find it the easy , just need luck to get good team mates and actual good loot drop

Voidwastes is the only one I need loot from, but the HP check is a massive pain in the arse due to me building around Dex, Con and Evasion. (Things that should make sense for a nimble dagger and crossbow build) Executing the actual mechanics is easy enough, though.

Can't speak for the other dungeons, as I've grown bored of the game already and, judging by their activity, the rest of my guild has, too.
