this game is not for casuals

So many threads complaining about pvp and monetization shows that ppl never played good korean mmo just like Lineage 1 and Lineage 2, ncsoft most beloved creations, Throne and Liberty is not meant for casual folk who plays games every now and then, irregularly etc. Gotta invest huge amounts of time and be fully committed to be relevant and actually achieve something ingame also invest some real money to get power.

Korean mmo is truly challenging not a walk in the park like those western mmos or jp mmo

Throne and Liberty isn't bad, the issue here is that many ppl got used to easy mmos and never played good hardcore korean p2w game with forced pvp so when they face a challenge like this they immediatly start complaining and attacking the game for not being able to keep up with such challenge. There are many other options for casuals just stop saying Throne and Liberty is bad cuz in reality game is not meant for you.

This is one of the most casual MMORPG's out there and you shouldn't ever compare it to L2.

This game doesn't have raids , dungeons are a cakewalk , PvP has no ranking system/leaderboard , arenas are a joke atleast the 3v3 implementation in KR.

The whole endgame revolves around ZvZ aka zerg vs zerg combat and the Dungeon evening PvP is a joke because if you die you get teleported outside and that's the whole event for you.

Besides the p2w aspects you can buy gear with real money or atleast parts of it so this game is more casual the WoW in every aspect.

And this game ain't L2 and it will never be , just a toxic gatekeeping p2w community before the game dies a painful death as in KR in maximum 2 months.

Next time you talk about "casuals" try getting 2.3k rating in arenas in wow and then come back to talk about casual vs hardcore which this game isn't.

grinding is not challenging if you want a challenge for do mythic or ultimate raiding you wont find any challenge in these games

P2W does not make you a skilled player, It says so in the name. you use money to win the game, beacuse you can't do it yourself.
P2W does not belong in "hardcore" game or any other game for that matter. But what P2W does is actually make a game casual.

I don't think it's really a case of whether it's bad or not.

This entirely comes down to 'Do you want this product to succeed in the West or not, when it's failed in Korea?'

If so, then you need to cater to your target audience.

The audience is not going to change. You can cry about how people are too casual or accustomed to easy games. But if that's what the Western market is, then /shrug - it's a foregone conclusion as to how this will go.

This game's problem is exactly the fact that it is for casuals. it's all about casual ZvZ and guild fights. there's no proper 1v1 - 3v3 - 5v5. just braindead ZvZ.
