Will open beta characters be deleted at the official launch or not?

Back in my days open beta means not deleting the progress. BC in old days early access not exist.

i'd say most of mmorpgs did not. open beta was always considered a "soft" release with no further wipes unless something extraordinary happened.

Only gacha/mobile games do it that way today.

Closed beta was always private.
Open beta was always public.

There's always supposed to be a reset for launch.

Early access is a new trend and is something else entirely.

Yeah but that was in the olden days when Early Access was not a thing.
