does not work on Mac just tried it out last few hours. Anti-Cheat software will not let us pass.
Steamdeck maybe I've heard game works with Proton on Linux systems, too.

any idea how to run on macbook?
Steam Deck yes, but Mac is not for games, alas it is ridiculous to even discuss it, it is like trying to launch an exclusive game on consoles on PC

Macs are literally stronger than the steamdeck, and there are multiple tools that are somewhat like proton for the steamdeck (even from the winedevs, crossover for example)
I can confidently say my 2023 MacBook Pro is terrible at running games even ones that are stated at being compatible. For example BG3 was horribly stuttery and not worth attempting even as a turn based game IMO. Gaming on Mac is just unfortunate, Apple does not play nice with anyone they don’t “own”, I hope they have a serious cultural shift because if it catches on industry wide is as the customers will loose.

Developers keep making excuses about lack of DirectX on Mac, but really they've just made poor platform choices. If developers would have developed on Unity, they could've transparently ran on Mac in addition to 20+ other platforms with ease.
