There is open world pvp in this game but its more based around events. You will be able to see what areas are in pvp the map.
I will say though that the game is quite pvp focused. A lot of the end game will be focused around pvp and progression will be sped up if you pvp. If you choose to not to partake in pvp events you will get way less rewards and honestly have way less to do in the game.
Throne and Liberty does not have open pvp as a base, but there are elements where open pvp exists. I hope that under the pressure of players' criticism, those elements involving open pvp will be removed from the game because, for example, boss fights or dungeons at night with open pvp are so stupid that I lack words to express it.
Anyone who has played BDO, for example, knows that open pvp is not open pvp, but simple toxic pk.
I also not like PvP being mixed into PvE, but I don't mind if I'm killed now and then, and I can fight back, unless it's too much the gear and level difference and it's not possible. But I won't attack anyone in PvE, no matter what.
PvP is for PvP modes, killing PvE players is just low. But that's just me. In Korea is popular to even buy advantage with real cash to be able to kill more PvE players. And those PvE players also aren't that innocent if they are still participating in such games, while don't enjoy being killed by such "PvP" players.
Just because you,and people like you can't handle OWPvP MMORPG's , means only that .That you can't handle it.And time and time again games who have been developed with that in mind fail because of people like you ,who can't stay away from them, and then they start non-stop complaining .How about you skip this one and go play BDO or FF ?
That's because Koreans all they know is competitive Esport mentality and when you put PvP in an MMO with a cash shop and slight or full on P2W items/boosts.. You know what happens. We all know how Archeage was.. Black Desert.. etc etc.. If its made by a Korean, expect to fork over tons of cash to have any amount of power and fun.
