What I heard not really, It should be set like in the same world thousand years before Lineage 2 story line, but who knows. I think its new tittle marketed as L2 succesor. But from what I read and studied about the game, there is not real reference so far about any L2 content. Not even about King of Aden or Baium, or Valakas or Antharas. No words even about CORE and Cruma Tower. So who knows, maybe we have to actually really play the game and maybe there will be some side quest with more info. But streamers so far, do not even explore lore that much...

It's completely new IP, there are some assets from Lineage franchise in it, because originally the game was supposed to be a sequel to Lineage 1. So lorewise it has nothing to do with Lineage.

Yes and no.

Almost everything in the game is also existing in some form in Lineage. Be it the Orc tribes, the ant nest, the cities and so on.
You will recognize most of it, if you're an old time Lineage player.

The story however will be a new one.

See it as DnD with your beloved characters but all new stories.

Because when the game went from Lineage Eternal → Project TL, it was still part of Lineage franchise. This is also when they transitioned away from the isometric view. So they made some assets for Project TL, but then eventually it was changed into new IP called Throne and Liberty.

This is why you see some familiar weapons, places, and monsters in Throne and Liberty from Lineage.

That's sickening, i heard some ppl spent tens of thousands of dollars in Diablo 4, with that kind of wales is no surprise to have such an agressive monetization in rpgs, mmos etc specially asian games. No wonder why they lock most of the items that give extra stats inside lootboxes, they know someone is going to throw thousands of dollars to get that extra power.

oh no surprise there, i stopped playing lineage 2 official in 2014 i realized i couldn't get further without playing 24/7 and farming instances all day. I saw hordes of bots outside Goddard, in wall of argos, the forbidden gateway, monastery of silence etc even outside oren town farming the ol mahum mobs funny thing is that those bots had PK bots protecting them, if u ever managed to kill the PK bots a guy with top tier gear would show up with some other folk to kill you, yup, they owned that spot and ncwest couldn't care less. Same thing happened in many places like "seed of annihilation".

and the RMT bots spam in global chat oh god and by private message, advertising and sending links to sus websites to buy items and currency. TBH i think some of those bots belong to ncsoft employees.

Thats why we should have Accounts linked to real life ID. Once cheater, botter, banned on ID for XY years.
