A game created by NCSoft will never be "free 2 play".
Sooner or later after release they will introduce pay 2 win content.

Recently, NCSoft released a new version of Lineage 2 called Project Eva , they've advertised the game "free for all, all items for adena" (adena is the currency of Lineage2) and when the server opened they've added Coin boxes (the paid currency of Lineage2). People were buying those Coin boxes with real money and they sell some of the items within this box to the ingame grocery (market) NPC and within the first 24hours there were people with insane gear.

They've been lying to Lineage2 community for more than a decade and still 99% of Lineage2 content is via loot boxes - aka gambling - aka pay2win. The "big spenders" have survived, the normal players have already quit. They tried to introduce T&L with a auto-farm feature, like Lineage2 is and the feedback was negative, that's why they changed T&L features.

If you don't believe what i'm saying, go take a look on NA (North America) Lineage2 forums and Korean official forums about Lineage2 Awakening and Lineage2 Essence. You'll see what players say.

My advice is , don't get too hyped about T&L.
NCSoft only cares about pay2win content and loot boxes with 0.00001% to get the "good item".

I don't care if another team created Lineage2 and another team T&L. It's still a game created by NCSoft and in the future it will be a game for whales. Remember that.

well there's a few ways to get funds out of a game with out tying the player base on a milking machine.

dunno what Amazon will do but if they don't change how auction house works it will be pure p2w for certain items just like in KR. TLDR u can buy premium currency for auction and then buy everything that can be sold on auction house. not that big of a deal if drops are balanced and game is actually good. but if u r kind of a person who says "i won t play anything that has any kind of p2w mechanic" then don't play.

You are not forced to buy anything though. You're definitely poor in your mentality and ability to enjoy things...probably financially as well.

Also they don't spam selling ads. There is no afk either. Just do some research and you can find it all out though Amazon studio may change things. Maybe they won't. We don't actually know for sure at this time.

I agree. The lucent ( I think that's the name ) does make the game p2w. Drops are also not too fair(relative) at this point.
I am not sure if you are playing the Korea version but I am. Drops are not common at all. Only people (parties) who deal a lot of damage to the raid bosses get drops. Even the dungeon drops are quite low in terms of resources and dungeons require groups for the most part. Majority of the resources you can acquire through easier means are limited and not tradeable such as from contracts and guild content.

I'm not poor or anything, I have A TON of money, I just want to uphold my morals and not spend money on immoral, greedy companies, that treat the player base like banana-starved monkeys.
