Square doesn't own it, but also, its under embracer now so as much as I would love it, I doubt we will see it.

Its not the remaster we deserve but it works for me so may i suggest emulating the game on pcsx2 and using ReShade. The steam version is unfortunatly a pain to get running and honestly its not worth it if your interested in the best possible experience.. https://youtu.be/YFu9EGgbbTo

I think they did Soul Reaver first cause its a lot easier to do.

Blood Omen 1 at least might be next if Soul Reaver does well. But I expect the update to Blood Omen to be a lot bigger, since the combat needs some touch ups, and the graphics would need a lot more work on them by comparison.

+1 I would've preferred that over Soul Reaver, not that I don't like the Soul Reaver games, but I always preferred Blood Omen personally. Granted, Blood Omen 2 could probably do with a complete overhaul, but I'd still be happy with a simple remaster that you don't have to mod to make it playable.

blood omen 1 was awful 2 and defiance could do with a remaster though

Blood Omen 1 was the best in terms of dialogue, plot and the ability to wander a huge swath of Nosgoth freely, something its sequels have failed to do. That is why in many regards it remains my favorite LoK game, despite the limitations of the 90s tech involved.

With that said: I don't think it is possible to fully remaster BO1, the best you can hope for is better graphics and someone optimizing it to reduce load screens. A reboot might be more apt, using the exact same audio (perhaps with some other additions, if they can get the VAs that are still alive interested), that unfortunately might be a bit of a dream.

BO1 is just too different, being a 2d versus a 3d game.

BO2 and Defiance are the two best candidates right now for a remaster, which I support completely, along with bug fixes.
