first boss

I can't get past the first boss. any tips?

If you have not already watched a gameplay video, You can press the jump input while holding a direction to the side to dodge any of Faustus's charge attacks and then deliver him a 3-hit combo. Non-charge attacks can be blocked, so if he uses them, block and use fury when the gauge is filled up.

In the next area, you only have to go in the mist and activate the switches to light him up with fire. If he lunges at you, get out of the way and wait for an opportunity to strike.
