whenever I use charm and im not really close to the citizen I have to charm they go into fear yelling somebody help me please or something somebody help me fix this pls I found a door I cant progress through in eternal prison because the woman walking around is too far and goes into somebody help me please ...

Do you use godmode ? i tried both gog and steam version and they do this, now i think its cause of editing that file for godmode and i started a new game without it.Before u judge me for godmode u should know i finished the game 5 times since i was 12 and now i just want to relive some nostalgia.

I think it's something wrong with how the npcs work in the PC version...
I was able to progress in the story because I didn't do "vampire things"
That means I didn't suck out the blood of anybody and tried to skip fighting
And if that doesn't work reload and try again. Also in one part of the game there were some npc in the background and for some reason only after I killed them I could charm a worker behind a glass in the factory level
It's really a mess with this thing but you can do it probably. Just trial and error

i didnt provide any lie i just said i tried both versions.What are you smoking thats making trip with paranoia i want some too . Also if u claim to be so smart u should know that being so many different hardware parts out there there are different pcs with different incompatibilities.I played the game on windows 7 and it worked fine i finished it 6 times on windows 7 and i only had menu problems and charm bug on windows 10 but i also used the god mode cheat anyway thats unrelated to the menu bug i didnt apply it at first and menu wasnt working.If u dont know how to fix this stop acting smart when in fact u are a paranoid drug addict or alcoholic.You come here and spew out nasty comments when nobody wronged u in any way.Why are you so bitter i dont understand.Your parents beaT you as a child or what are u just a paranoid drug addict.Im not saying drugs are bad but doing too much might send u on a trip from which you will never sober up and u act like this, seeing lies and stuff when theres none.Also gog does install more patches with their older games than steam thats a fact i tested i have gothic series on both gog and steam and gothic 1 works without any patch or fix on gog and on steam i have to install like 3 pieces of software to make it not crash and everyone who plays gothic on steam does that on windows 10.So u act so perfect when u are the one who is wrong, i could say u are providing lies if i was on a mind trip like you

BUG SOLUTION (worked for me)
tap left alt
citizen should stop screaming

bug is caused by alt-tabbing, if that doesnt work restart and dont use alt tab, should be good.

i will go get my old saves and see if they work :D . Also i cant play without alt tabbing,the game freezes if i dont disable all cpu cores and leave just one active and for that i need to alt tab to Task Manager
