Any Essential Mods?

Do you guys reccormmend any mods or should I just play it vanilla?

I guess the only thing you might be interested in is the widescreen fix.

Wrap it into 3dfx if you can (you can find what to use in the steam guide (graphical enhancement)). For me it seems that the game was meant to be played at 640x480 (windowed of course) since there's no scaling nor clipping issues.

i only remember some mod that helped with custom resolutions

as for fanmade campaigns, while there was level editor and tools, i only even seen one or two such mods

ReShade can help pretty the game up a little.

I remember there were a number of mods which were essential--bug fixes, modern tweaks (at least modern for then), and so on. Here's a starting place to look: http://anachrodox.disinterest.org/.

The Steam version is already patched to v1.02 build 46.

If you have an Nvidia GPU u don't need a widescreen patch

just goto Nvidia Control Panel / Displays / Select a Scaling Mode / Fullscreen

then every resolution you play your game in will be Fullscreen

Depending on the game, some character's may seem a little wider than usual but it won't affect the experience of the game

I rmemebr there have been a couple unofficial patches which add to the game and fix some gamebreaking bugs.

any links for said patches, all the ones i previously remembered were back on fileplanet.com back in the day when that was a thing...

any recommended game overhaul mods would be nice, and yes I know I could just search it online etc, but i prefer real player feedback :P
