Remake or new game?

I owned his back in the day and I bought it on steam some years back and played it again. Both time I enjoyed the game but was also very struck by how short it was. So short in the end I had to review it as a not recommended buy. As if you sort of know what your doing the old games a under 3 hour play. Modern tech makes it so as and extra hour back in the day would of been loading screens.

I'd dig a new game that continued the story as lets be clear a lot is not explained in the original even by the end . Yet if this is a just remake to be frank not sure it's needed the gx hold up mostly as they were the selling point of the game. The puzzles were not very hard, the story explains again not a lot, and the ending open.

So Hope this is a new continuation or at the very least there plans for more to the game then just the original content.
