Will the dice collector event repeat?

I know I'll have other runs where he comes, I'm wondering if he'll come back THIS run.
I've already found him, very early, before I had anything. Now I have gold of prism/mirror/terrain, so I really want him to come, but I don't want to waste my time grinding through dozens of floors if he's never going to show.

Anyone ever seen him twice in a single run?
