Hidden ending/dialog

I have tried several playthroughs to get both, I have all the endings and gold file but the hidden one.

What is a surefire way to trigger the final boss's hidden dialog as well as the hidden ending?

You can't trigger both in the same run. I don't know if you need to do it on the hardest difficulty but I did it just in case. For the hidden ending just beat the game as a cat, should be an extended ending. For the hidden dialog, you need to be on your 9th life super mode from the start of the game all the way to the last boss.

I have beaten the game as a cat on the hardest difficulty, but I got the best ending, no extension, but I don't think I tried the later

does it matter weather or not you have the skill set on or not? Also, for cat on hardest difficulty, do I have to do it deathless?

It doesn't need to be deathless. You just need to get the best ending and it should show up as an extension after the ending plays. For clarity, you seen all 6 endings (best, good, bad 1-4)? Otherwise I dunno if there is another criteria.

Yup, my file is glowing and everything, I just don't get anything else after best ending for some reason

update: I got the hidden dialog, gonna see if novem/deathless will give me the hidden ending Didn't expect it to startle me twice over, lmao

Double update: Beating it on Novem difficulty deathless got me the hidden ending

Yep. Novem and Deathless after achieving Golden Save status also got me the Hidden Ending. I also tried it with Novem as cat (dying 3 times) and was denied the extra scene, so deathless definitely seems to be a requirement.

Deathless isn't too hard at NG+ though, so that's good.

So do we still not know the specific requirements for the hidden ending? I did Novem mode no deaths and didn't get the ending. Then I did the hidden Claudius dialogue and now I have every single achievement except hidden ending and it's driving me nuts.

Do we need a certain number of playthroughs? Hope points?

EDIT: I just read in a Japanese site that apparently you need 9 playthroughs? I'm at 8 right now. I'll try that.

It must've been that! I got it. I have a 9 in my file now.

For reference, I spared Moenna. I've seen videos where others get the ending after killing her, so it must not be a factor at all. I also grabbed a few memories. I don't think that had anything to do with it either.

9 playthroughs Inti took it literally lol
