I fixed it by putting the usb of my headset into my phone charger, the volume is now higher.
Thanks anyway :) now i can finally play.
I've bought this wonderful game as soon as it was available on Early Access.. because... wow.
And I really love it very much.
However...
I have a similar problem with the Mic Volume and I can't seem to get it fixed.
I'm using a desktop mic which, although it wasn't very expensive, does loyal service, whether I chat with friends on Skype or stream on Twitch. I never had to readjust the Mic volume, because the quality was always good... it was never to loud nor too low.
But I can't get the mic volume up in In Verbis Virtus somehow (as described by the user above. I also use Win7). I can play the game, but in most cases I have to yell into the Mic, repeat spells over and over and it's just very straining to do. Usually I can only play for 10 to 20 Minutes until my throat starts hurting.
I've tried it with a different headset, but it didn't work out either. I've tried different settings outside of the game, but that didn't lead me to success.
Maybe it's my voice? Although I wouldn't say I have a very high-pitched or quiet voice...
And I'm just a bit sad and frustrated that I can't get it too work and enjoy the game for longer than 20minutes :(
1) Open the start menu.
2) Search for "Sound"
3) Scroll down to Control Panel, and under this should be "Sound" with a speaker icon.
4) Click Sound and go to the "Recording" tab, should be the second one.
!!-If you microphone is not plugged in by this step, do so now-!!
5) Look for your microphone, and once you find it right-click on it then click "Properties" at the bottom.
6) Once the new panel opens go the the "Listen" tab, should be the fourth one.
7) Use the slider to change the level at which your PC listens to the mic.
The higher the setting is the louder it will be. If you're already at max setting (100) then you have a horrendously quite microphone and it might be best to invest in a new one if you play games that use microphones often.
To test your microphone you can go to the listen tab (Still under properties) and select "Listen to this device." This will play your mic back through the speakers so you can hear how loud/quite it is.
Thanks so much for your help. It works a bit better now, I feel, but I will test it for real this evening.
So, thanks a lot :)
No problem. I forgot to mention, a lot of higher end microphones (Like my own, Razer Kraken 7.1) come with software that controls the sensitivity of the microphone. If yours has software like that, check that as well.
lol dude, seriously stfu
i have a Logitech G930 and its one of the BEST headsets around, and it has problem ONLY with this game
We just need an ingame slider to raise the sound capturing ability of the software
EDIT:
apparently fiddling with settings and such made it so that it works even tho the bar doesnt go past the 15% in the menu
I only have one question, am I suppose to hear My own voice when I speak? and how can I turn it off ? Thanks in advance.
EDITH:
Well, after writing this post I notice that the post above was a year old, so I went to the web and found the solution.
