If your get the piece it can easily otk someone that has no extra defense.
2 Stone Armor
2 Sun shield (On both armor)
1 Vampiric armor On 1 shield.
1 Dark lantern.
Stone Armor got an effect to give 30% missing life as shield when under 50% life.
+ flat 80 Shield combat start.
Dark lantern and Vampiric Armor proc that effect on combat start by putting you under 50% life (Dark lantern make you loose 50% isn't enough by itself)
Result : You OTK someone in 0.00s of combat.
Add more shield/armor for more damage.
It fun but easily counter and hard to pull off. Thing like helmet, beserker rage, pyro reincarnate all counter it well. (Hard to pass trough 25% less damage and impossible to pass trought dark lantern invulnerability or kill someone almost full life from phenix proc... <-<
But I wish I could remember what combos are amazing, I sit there in the early rounds winning one or 2 then losing 2, then I buy a certain item and bam, I deal over 100 damage and just tank/outheal all damage till I win the survival bonus rounds and I have no idea how it happens
That's really the way the game is played, your opponents don't necessarily scale in difficulty from match to match, went they definitely won't have item continuity, (I'm not sure if it's a match per match rescaling, but between games your previous success/failure will definitely influence the difficulty of your opponents, that's not to say they will never counter your build, but the counters might be less efficiently played, allowing you success when you otherwise would've failed).
It might be that you finally got the item required to make your build work, or maybe you came across an opponent who was still gearing up (a bunch of pigs) or had a weaker grasp of the game mechanics. Or heck maybe you just came across someone you strong countered.
It really is the fun of the game.
Heck yeah!! that's like same as my berserker fav, just the ranger version. I'll have to try that.
That build looks mean :)
