To me, if someone tells me something is bad without either pointing me in a direction as to why, or giving specific reasons as to why, I either try to communicate with them to get such direction/reason or ignore them. If someone can't be arsed giving constructive feedback instead of just "its bad" then they aren't worth the mental capacity.
On your builds in particular:
The thorns build isn't that strong in general because you have very little regen, sure you have the heart, but the leaf has almost no enables. Your bloodthorn is going to be starved for regen to eat very quickly.
The mana potions aren't useful to the build, so they should likely have been an easy item to sell for more build appropriate items, or you needed to find SOMETHING to spend all the mana on (though personally I'd rather ditch the mana altogether and get more fanny packs/gloves for my bloodthorn or pineapples for the thorns)
(The goobert is arguable not useful as well, even though you're making a blood goobert, vamp gloves would be better, but maybe you weren't given any gloves at the point where you knew you were going bloodthorn, so that's a mood point)
As a sidenote, your opponent has 2 ripsaw blades, he's not only countering you, he's countering you HARD, so that particular fight shouldn't be used as a benchmark for how well your build performs.
The hammer build doesn't need the heart, boosting the speed on vamp armor would likely have given you more survivability and the money from "not" buying heart could have been spent elsewhere
Disclaimer though, Im not an amazing player by any stretch, I only got to high diamond in the demo, but I do think I have a somewhat ok grasp on thorns build for ranger, and a bit less so on hammer.
And yeah on thorns I never encountered gloves that game. (Or daggers cause I thought some spectral daggers would be nice), but yeah after I got bloodthorn i should have dropped the mana potions.
Guessing I should get more food to regen on thorns + get more healing from said food.
Also didn't know hammer build didn't need heart, I just seen it in a build video on youtube so thought it was needed for survivability. So more speed on vamp is better got it.

This better? (I just realised jerry requires heat... woops)
Hammer absolutely can use heart, but for the 7 regen -> empower, the regen is irrelevant and it builds up too slow in most cases, since you picked the arrow class item (forgot the name) heart isn't a good fit. If on the other hand you had leaf in the hammer build, you could get a quick 7 regen which INSTANTLY procs the heart, giving you initial empower (which is VERY useful for hammer builds since they strike a lot of times with low damage weapons)
This can of course be extrapolated to 2 hearts as well if you also have 1-2 healing herbs (2 regen at start of battle) since you can get up to 10 regen from leaf alone, resulting in instantly (or almost instantly) activating 2 hearts (lots and lots of empower)
Yes, that is around what I build when I build bloodthorn, as you pointed out Jerry doesn't fit, so personally I often put a pineapple on the other side of the gloves (or a heart/vamp armor if I have the chance to get one of those)
In this build you have a high initial regen count so even though you're hitting fast with bloodthorn it doesn't run out right away, meaning you build up thorns and vamp fast, which ends up resulting in a quick buildup of damage on bloodthorn
