Pyromancer goes kinda crazy

Really good flat HP buff in the early game , wild scaling with arguably the best buff in the game in the late game. The power level feels so crazy compare to the demo lol

Lots of new players, they'll learn to build a stone helm if needed. I've been a fan of stone armor on Barbarian builds too.

The Pyro regen builds, with lantern and pheonix are interesting. Burning torches do really well, scaling up over the game and pairing very well with the chili goobert.

Dragon has been fun too, but I have doubts at upper levels, simply cuz it will be so hard to pivot into unless you get handing multiple cheap eggs.

As someone who's been playing a ton of Berserker, I only just now tried Pyromancer and I keep winning. Pyromancer is definitely overtuned, I'm thinking things like Phoenix and Ice Dragon will need a stamina cost, as well as perhaps nerfing the HP pyro gets.

Playing Pyromancer is autowin if youre good. Many items are OP. Cannot pass gold rank with ranger and with this its grandpha race. Its really broken. Also so easy to create this makes me guilty. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3177186125

@Frostmire, kinda feel like maybe one or two of the pyro builds you have posted were decent (but not optimal) and the rest were not even that great. Pheonix in a build that struggles to generate/maintain more than enough heat is simply a drawback, and it takes up so much room for an item that will kill you.

I'm pretty sure Pyromancer is the most powerful character currently. Just being crapped on 2% speed increases to fill every mistaken overbought space if you don't micromange, or basically just a gold you can exchange, and what you will do with it is nuts.

You can mollywhop basically everything just making two of those fire minor hero swords and making them touch tips while you spam out more haste.

That sort of setup can't even be directly countered like just gathering up enough amethyst to spit on the dragon nest.

An buddy. I love spitting on the dragon nest when playing a berserker offered a chest early to fill every pair of boots with amethyst.

They aren't optimized, but a lot of your answers to 'em are nice and man you play weird sometimes. Lets get back up to diamond then see where it all shakes down. I'm scared mostly of rangers, and weird defense build pyromancers currently.

When both you and your opponent can't heal, the jackass reviving after death has an advantage.

Haha I just love Heart of Darkness , probably my favorite item in the entire game and the Pyro meta makes it very useful. I'm climbing back to Diamond but I quite enjoy the current environment. The meta in the Demo was basically Crit Ranger with Crossblade making HoD incredibly useless.

I was excited for the full launch, but I'm not bothering to play this game until pyro is nerfed. Being forced to go pyro or lose is just boring.

I don't get how people have fun playing things that are broken.

not everyone does enjoy playing things that are broken. some people enjoy finding ways to beat the "broken" thing or mechanic. finding new broken things can also be quite enjoyable as your the first to "exploit" it. sometimes just discussing what is broken and how can be very enjoyable.

oh, I get it. I think one part of this that might end up annoying me more over time is that rank is separated by class. For example, if pyro becomes meta and one specific class counters them, it's annoying to have to 'start over' leveling to counter.

I've played since the demo launched, I'm honestly starting to think balance would be better if you had the same rank across all classes. With pyro right now, for example, I just don't have any interest in leveling every class up to low diamond (where I am) to see what works and doesn't work. I know it's not a ton of time, the different ranks per class turns me off to testing out different things to try and counter 'OP' builds.

I believe more subclasses will be figured out in due time but I'm sad to hear the current trends are dissuading you from enjoying the game. Before players figured out Pyro., Berserkers were nearly uncontested.
