Unbalanced and unfair

You spend the entire game trying to get the full upgrade of an item, usually sacrificing a life or 2 in the process, only to use it for 1 round before the entire game ends. What is the point?

I'd be a little toxic like these guys but if you REALLY want an item it requires some planning. The great part about the recipe system is that you can get the bits and pieces for most of your build relatively early or purchase a card to increase the likelihood of you getting a more advanced item. In either case a part of the experience is RNG and if your planned build isn't working out you have to pivot, that's just a matter of fact and if you can't handle that this isn't the game for you. If RNG didn't exist you'd see nothing but meta builds and that wouldn't be fun.

This is a complete lie. I wanted the rainbow slime, I planned and got the rainbow slime. It required 5 other slimes, 4 of which required other items to get. I planned the entire match and got the rainbow slime on the last round of the game. You can be the most skilled player in the world and you would still only build that rainbow slime 1 or 2 rounds before the end. Don't even lie

So you planned to get the literal hardest item in the game to get, pulled it off, and then went to the forums to complain?

I will give him that it would be kind of nice to have some sort of infinite mode to play with "finished" backpacks a bit longer and see how they do. He's just saying it in possibly the worst way possible.

I watched Dolphin Chemist gettin it on round 13 completely stomping the remaining run. If you sac all your activators to get it it's your bad decision.

I think the point is that you shouldn't just try and force a build. If you're not getting the drops you need then you have to accept and pivot. Don't go into a game saying 'this is the build I'm going no matter what. If the game throws lots of mana orbs at you then start looking at grabbing magic items, etc.

No one has mentioned that this is a demo? So maybe there will be an endless mode, or more rounds than 15 in full game. A demo usually only gives a sample of the full game, since the demo is free.
