Is Villain Sword any good?
Seems like a lot of work to make it strong. Have to have a lot of other weapons and make them weaker. Like that sounds stamina-intensive too since (most) weapons use stamina. IDK. I'm not seein' it.

If there was way to deactivate weapons so you didn't have bunch of near empty hits on thorns and shields I could see it work. Right now maybe you could make it work with rocks, but seems like game of chance. Definitely not a generalist weapon.

Yeah I've only gotten it once and it felt real mediocre. I think with some dedicated support (genie lamp, speed bags, ranger crit pack, etc) it could pop the ♥♥♥♥ off with some cheap fodder weapons that don't maul you via thorns to buff it (Daggers for eg).

It is at least fairly cheap compared to other build-around choices like scythe, so at least it's sort of worth picking up even if you end up selling it.

EDIT: On the flipside, ranger ice stone is disgustingly busted and a lot of fun
