Offline LAN coop?

Is there any way to play LAN offline? or has it not been added to the game?

there used to be, it worked really well and all you had to do was type in the hosts ip. Was looking like the perfect lan game.
Now it doesnt seem to work as a lan, but only online through steam and lags alot on my setup.
It was so much fun with 4 players before, latest version uses online steam lobby stuff.
Hopefully they re-add the lan again soon before my next lan party.

Yeah and Co-op online is pretty much useless right now anyways, due to all the random disconnects everyone is experiencing. Hope the dev fixes this next update.

But yeah I think the LAN mode was ideal, I suspect it was removed due to people circumventing steam.
