True, but you have to build each of them separately and (I haven't built them since .16 so correct me if I'm wrong) last I tried to use them they were glitched and anything you put on them disappeared after reloading the save. I think he's asking for more a generalized chest you can just throw stuff into to have as a safety net in case your house gets destroyed and whatnot.
Exactly! The sap acts as an "lock" it can be weakened by weather and damage.
We have tons of weather proof lugage bag scattered around.
Maybe we can dismantle and combine
to be make as storage chest?
Since they are going more realistic, I dont like the idea of throwing huge heavy logs in a tiny chest. ... then again, i'm also not ok with putting 5 medicine bottles only, on a shelf... or having a specific rack for snacks, and another only for meds.
The devs obviously only want a player inventory, and not a "chest" inventory to pull from. anything you grab, you physically click. anything you place, you press on an empty spot.
point is, there will never be a system like minecraft, where you click-and-drag items from a chest, to your inventory.
that being said, I would like a compartmentalized box. have it sectioned off for meds, sodas, booze, and snacks.so you can just aim at the section, and store your stuff easier, instead of building a shelf... and aiming at each empty space... to place 1 bottle of asprin at a time...
pro. using it you can hold more items of anything you can carry in your invo that has a stacking limit
con. it slows you down a lil every 25% space is taken up to 100%
but yea, a separated box, or a shelf with cubby-holes, or baskets would be nice. maybe make it cost logs for the shelf, twigs for baskets, cloth for liner, rocks to hold it down. so the cost of building it is balanced, and you dont have to aim at the floor to retreive/deposit stuff. then maybe have larger specific containers. I.E a general shelf holds 5 meds, 5 candy, 5 soda, and 5 booze. where a med cabinet holds 10 (max stack) or 20 Med bottles ONLY.
