Crowbar or Hammer ("Dismantling" tool)
For too many structures and decorative objects, once you place it down, it's there forever! While custom buildings can be destroyed with repeated hits from a weapon or tool, many other objects can't.

Some examples of PERMANENT objects:
-Rabbit/Deer Skin
-Log Sled
-Timmy Drawings
-Rock Path
-Wall Weapon Rack
-Wall Planter
-Head Trophy
-Fire Pit
-Ceiling Skull Lamp
-Decorative Skull
-etc.

The reason the permanent nature of these objects is an issue is because most of them are decorative and it can sometimes be difficult to place them precisely where you want them. Mistakes also happen and if you mess up, you have no recourse. For example, different heads and weapons are positioned differently and you only know the difference AFTER you placed it down.

Obviously, you can't have an icon to "Press C" to delete for EVERY decorative object because that would be all over the place! At every rock path, decoration, etc! Yuck!

Simply enabling decorative objects to receive damage from weapons/tools, like buildings receive damage, is NOT a good way to solve this!

Instead, give us some sort of tool (crowbar, hammer, etc) that when equipped enables us to not only remove a decorative object (finally!), but also allows us to safely remove an object without splash damage affecting every structure around the decorative object. (Decorative objects like wall weapon racks and head trophies are required to be on a wall, and I dont need to swing an axe and destroy my house just to remove one little twig from my wall.)

The addition of a deletion tool means the player could CHOOSE when to see "Press C" to remove a decorative object. Thus retaining the decorative nature of the object when the deletion tool is not equipped.

ALTERNATIVE USE!

One alternative use for something like a crowbar would be the ability to salvage some ingredients from an existing structure after dismantling it. Say you placed a bed but want to remove it. Instead of wacking it with a katana potentially damaging the surrounding objects, you could find yourself a crowbar and precisely dismantle it. Once you've dismantled the bed, 1 rabbit skin and 3 sticks pop out.

Agree with everything you said. This is a serious issue for the players who focus on the creative building aspect of the game. The crowbar would be a great addition to the game without damaging any other elements. This is would be a positive implementation that would have NO negative side effects.

The fire pit can be deleted. Just wait till the sticks are burned down and you have to place new sticks and leaves to the fire pit. The "C" will show up and you can delete the fire pit.

Last but not least: The indestructible structures should be destructable. Like all others. Yes.

No those structures should NOT be desctructible LIKE the others because those are decorative objects that often require being attached to a wall. Swinging an axe at your house just to break a decorative object would be a disaster waiting to happen. Having a dedicated deletion tool makes is precise, safe, and could have alternative uses such as salvaging materials.

I like the idea of a dismantling tool. If the developers decide to expand on the creative builds, and I hope they do, it will be very useful.

I have never said anything about how or criticised your idea. Where is the issue?

"The indestructible structures should be destructable. Like all others. Yes." This was a point I made in my original post and I had to correct you on it. I don't think they should be desctructible the same way as buildings and current destructibles.

I do not think that too. And i have never written that. And absolutely nothing against or additional to your idea. My only fault: I just wrote destructable instead of destructable/deleteable/removeable. And do not forget: I wrote the fire pit can be deleted and i called this deleteable structure destructable too. But at least it does not matter how you call the horse. At least i wrote yes.

I think everything is fine.

I understand what you have written and it is in conflict with how I think this problem should be dealt with.

"I do not think that too. And i have never written that." Ummm, you said "Like all others [destructible structures]." My point was that they should not be destructible the way the "other" structures are now. That's all.

And yeah I edited my post a while ago and striked out firepit from the list.

I am absolutely not sure if you are just not able or unwilling to understand. Running with blinders with just the look on your own view is not very helpfull in social interaction. But if you want to see a conflict where no conflict is. Do it like you want. At least it is your conflict. Not mine. Good luck for your future.
