Recurve bow.

There should be a stronger version of the bow that you find throughout the map.

im a huge fan of recurve bows in real life. i own one myself. but i dont want them to stray too far from the whole primitivr crafting to survive. maybe they could let us make an indian longbow or something. i would like a cooler bow. but nothing modern or found. i wanna craft it.

I also love the recurve I own a traditional korean hornbow (its recurve), and using bones in game maybe they could make one like that :D

I think you are confused with a modern recurve bow.

A recurve bow is just the shape of the bow. The shape allows for more speed and power to the arrow. Theyre also pretty noisy.

im aware of that...i think everyone is. however seeing how the OP suggested it be found it will probably be a modern one... seeing how i dont think the devs would put a shotty arts n crafts bow in a place wed have to hunt down and kill for.

Maybe the knowledge to make it could be found throughout the map? A magazine in the caves about bow crafting. More reason to search the caves is always good, so far it's pretty much just the modern axe and the katana before caves are sort of pointless.

if we need to craft it and hunt for the knowledge and ability im all for it. recurve bow is my favorite weapon in history. but i dont want my hand held and just straight up given the knowledge like everything else. itll promote exploration in caves. frankly i wish you had to find magazines to make new items. so far magazines are useless. they dont do much other than hint at the story.

My bow doesn't seem noisy O_O, also I hope it's not a modern version. The design of mine dates back before 1st century. So while polished and efficient it's not an out of place modern suckery 'gun-bow'.

And you could likely make something like it with the animals on the island, making it (or finding something like it) seems reasonable. AND not a giant step away from what we already have.

I would say it would be possible u honestly wouldn't complain. Maybe differnt arrows too made of differnt materials the game doesn't have many materials to make weapons or atleased they dont let you make them
