Self feeding bonfire and firepit
Building a fire in the forest is an important part of the game, and if you decide to live up north its essential, but its very dedious to have to keep throwing leaves in every 2 min to keep one going, this is why a self fire feeding system would be great and improve gameplay alot so you can go atleast a day or 2 without having to keep relighting your fire. https://youtu.be/ejfSv3raPDo

I don't like the new speed that fires extinguish either. It's much too fast and when lighting a fire triggers a chance to spawn enemies nearby, you really don't want to keep on lighting them.

You can throw extra money/leaves on to increase the duration to a point. But I think this is the perfect oppertunity to finally allow the player to just add sticks and even chopped logs (chop fallen logs which can then be picked up and carried in a bundle in your arms like firewood and stored in a firewood basket) to greatly increase the fire's burning time.

Yep and maybe it can be further balanced where the longer a fire burns, the higher and higher the chances of cannibals show up.

And honestly one of my biggest problems with the devs is its like they don’t even consider balance before they add an item, but seems like they have started to learn from their mistakes as it seems like they really thought out the balance with the new bow.

I know those things may look neat, but they don't actually work the way people try to depict them. If the guy in the video actually showed the self-feeding fire in action, we'd all be watching the entire thing go up in flames. Essentially, it's all a hoax.

Its a video game dude, its for improving gameplay, do you think a treehouse collects 10 feathers in 20min? No... and it wouldnt be immersion breaking either.

Ok then, game-wise, why not just ask for fire to have a longer duration without having to add a new model?

I feel like it would be more immersive and rewarding for creating an “upgraded” firepit that can last longer. Either way tho.

I'd really love to throw sticks and logs on the fire like I said to keep them going.

Who tries to keep a fire going with just leaves and money? Definitely not a survival expert lol. :steamfacepalm:

either way something needs to be changed, let a fire last a day cycle if you throw extra sticks in? idk but im tired of every few seconds my fire going out lol

Also being able to throw another whole log on the bonfire to completely refresh it would be great. Rather than piling on a bunch of leaves.
