Character Traits
I'm not sure if someone made this up already but I was thinking of traits. So, in the beginning, you can choose a trait like for example, the bunny trait you can run faster and longer but do less damage. I thought this could be a good idea to add to the game it seems like the type of game that would have traits.

Some other traits I came up with are

(Beserker) Do more damage but you move slower

(Explorer) Start with a map and flashlight but you spawn at a cave entrance

(Lizard) You can sneak around easier but blocking attacks aren't as effective.

(Tank) Take a lot of hits but you swing slower.

That's all I could come up with so far but I wonder what you guys think of this! :D

meh... This isn't an RPG.

I would be happier if they implemented the sanity and athleticism thing. Or maybe scaleable skills rather than character class sorta more like Elder Scrolls than a fixed class system.

I feel like traits would fare better with different characters in multiplayer. Not everyone is built the same so you would have people stronger than others or people faster than others, etc. The player that is Eric Leblanc would have all of their traits be average, sorta like a jack of all trades type of thing.

I'm not talking about a whole skill tree just one trait or character you can pick at the start.

I agree that there should be character traits.

I think it would be nice enough if there was more diversity when it comes to characters themselves. Like, even when I try very hard, I am not black guy and never will be.

I dont feel that it really fits the game personally. I'd rather just be the jack of all trades that you are currently tbh. Adding things like that will only end up with 1 being truley better than the rest and becoming the standard anyway. Which will most likely be whichever one deals more DPS.

I'd much rather see some skills added that build up and possibly allow new abilities as you gain proficiency in them.
