Couldn't climb treehouse rope

I had built an alpine treehouse, I had saved the game. Once I loaded the game back up the tree it was on had dissapeared and then when I pressed "e" to climb the rope I just clung to it and did nothing and I had to button mash to get off of it.

This is actually happening with every treehouse, it seems as though I can only use the rope once and then it glitches.

i get this also, but notice the message "your freezing and cold build a fire get warm" -- something like that - so i build a fire stand in front of it - problem goes away once the message doesn't return. I found if you crouch - ctrl, then back out "s" worked for me.

i have noticed that too but i just ignore the missing tree but the rope issue is very annoying

I haven't re-tried yet, but I started having this problem after AMD released a new driver update that added a program called raptr and it messed with some game settings to "optimize" my game, I wonder if that was an issue.
