Can't Launch the game because the game won't change monitor size

Hello everyone,

I'm having a problem with my game and don't know what to do anymore to fix it

Everytime i launch the game on steam, a little window pops up and ask me the size of the monitor, the graphics, what monitor and if i want the game windowless,

I've tried everything from changing every settings to even reinstalling the game and Direct 9 but nothing works.

If someone has an idea on how i could fix this, that would be awesome.

Go to the game folder and try launching TheForest32.exe rather than TheForest.exe. If that works, update your shortcut to point to the former of those.

I just tried opening the game from the file and the weird part about it is that there is 2 seperate launcher for the game, one labeled "TheForest" and another one named "TheForest32", i lauched it with both and the second one didn't crash when i did so i guess that's my problem resolved. thanks a lot for your help dude
