Player teleported nowhere just before megan boss fight

Me and my friend are playing in p2p multiplayer on Windows and we finally got to the (last?) boss (Megan) after finding Timmy.

Problem is, when approching Megan, a player (either the first one to get to megan OR the one who did get the timmy cutscene before) get teleported basically in a bugged state in front of the spiky Timmy device.

I've already search and found some other threads about this issue but could not find a real solution. Moreover with the reddit sub blackouts I can't access reddit threads that appears on google search because r/TheForest is now private.

Please note that the player which is not teleported does not get the megan transformation cutscene.

Is there any way to finish the game without this glitch?

The subreddit is currently private due the protest against the API changes on Reddit.

Regarding your issue with the boss fight, have you tried to Verify Integrity of Game Files?

Also before finding Timmy, did you experienced any other issues that might be causing the current problem?

I've verified game files integrity and everything was good without any error.

We've played the game without any other glitch or bug, except when we found Timmy where only the player activating the spiky device could see the cutscene, while other players saw the player glitching by "sliding" without Timmy: (Twitch clip[clips.twitch.tv]). We can even see the cable thing moving alone to connect to an invisible Timmy in the surgery table.

We've also tried exiting and restarting the game without success: same issues occured, both for the Timmy cutscene and the Megan boss fight.

Another way to possibly fix the issue you are experiencing, would be to load a older state of your savegame, and then trying to continue from there again.
