unable to drop logs or bodies?

i'm not sure as to why but for some reason i'm unable to drop a body or a log after picking it up and i can't figure out why but it literally makes the game quite unplayable

'G' drops things by default if you're using keyboard...... don't have a clue if you're using VR.

If keyboard, you could always double check your key bindings to make sure something didn't flip...

well i tried that. it tells me on my screen that it's "c" to drop it. i tried that and G but nothing worked. i also already checked my keybindings as well it's probably just a weird glitch or something, hopefully they'll patch it

Hmm. C is for placing stuff like meat on a drying rack, as I'm sure you know.

Why not just restore defaults on the keybinding menu and give it a go? If you had something changed from before you of course can set it back after testing.

I don't think it's a bug tbh..... and waiting for a patch is just going to keep you away from having some Forest fun....

Have u assigned it to a different key and see if same occurs? Then return it to your preferred key?

....... and as Jamesfle updated on another post about resetting traps, you have to hold the G key for a couple of seconds to drop things (once you're sure your bindings aren't all mish-mashed for some reason)

No, usually dropping isn't a press and hold thing.
Try a reload and/or fix your keybinds.
Maybe verify the gamefiles.

just 1 little querion are u usinng hacks or the developer console?

so i'm not exactly sure what was wrong with the game but i uninstalled the game entirely and reinstalled it and that seems to have fixed the issue
