Lighter broken when hanging upside down in a cave

So, when you get "killed" and the cannibals drag you to their cave, you are hanging upside down and the game wants you to turn the lighter on to see.
Well, occasionally when this happens the lighter will not turn on. It has happened twice so far between a few regular non-buggy captures. I'm stuck hanging upside down pressing the lighter button (on both keyboard and controller and neither work) and nothing happens. I also cannot pause the game and access anything while this is happening. This is usually resolved closing the game and starting back up, but it's a pain when you haven't saved in a minute and you have to go back and do everything you did already. My assumption is the action to light the lighter gets "stuck" and the game doesn't quite realize you are pressing the lighter button? When I try a controller and keyboard I can see the button changing to controller/keyboard mode each time I press something on one or the other, so I know it's not my controllers suddenly not working.

So i've found a partial solution. When i see the button to turn on the lighter appear i don't press it immediately. In the dark, I can sort of see if I press the lighter too fast the guy gets stuck in the animation of turning the lighter on. So I now wait a few seconds before turning my lighter on and so far I haven't had an issue. I'll comment again if I run into this problem again even while experimenting with my theory that its just a too-fast action i'm doing.
