Can not start the game in vr

Hello everyone.
can not start the game in vr it always returns to normal mode.
and can not go into beta vr mode.
Any ideas ?

How are you launching the game? If you launch the game from your steam library you will see a prompt asking you to choose if you want to "Play The Forest"
or "Launch The Forest VR in Steam VR mode"

Also make sure you have SteamVR installed!

Yes I launch the library steamy where I have the game in normal and the game in vr.But as soon as I run it I arrive on the menu of the normal game
Steam vr is up to date, no problem with other games vr

Do you see the select screen I mentioned in my post? or does it automatically launch the normal game as soon as you click launch?

Also do you have SteamVR running n the background when you try?

I launch the game by clicking on the button to launch the forest in vr or click right to throw in vr

The helmet ilts in the white dome then nothing

Dont start the game from inside the SteamVR lobby with your headset on. That actually doesn't work for me or in the steam menu in the headset. I have to double click the game in Steam Library on the PC and then the popup asks if you want to start in normal or VR. Once I have clicked to start the game in VR it loads in the headset. Even if I did not have Steam VR open prior to launch. This is on the Oculus Rift.

You will obviously also see the game start on your desktop but it will be on in your headset. Well at least mine works fine that way.

I try to launch it from the folder in my pc.
I also delete and reinstall.
I start to despair

I had same issue. We were able to work after install the steam VR through steam.

I also have this issue.

Steamvr installed,
All apps/os fully up to date.

Start game(on pc) selected start in vr, nothing on headset.

Start game from headset, same, no game....

And this is years later?

I had to have vr_beta on in the game settings then launch steam VR then play the game through there
