game crash everytime i exit!

i get black screen and it stays like that for ever, i have to restart my pc everytime.. even control alt delete doesnt show up.. pls help

Start with the simplest thing to do always, which is go to your Steam game library, right click The Forest, properties, local files and verify Cache there. Now what happens? It sounds more likely something outside of the game though. Check the event viewer for any errors. To do that, right click the windows icon bottom left of desktop and select Event Viewer OR press the windows key and R. Then in that box, type eventvwr.msc then wait for a second. Now under "Summary of Administrative events", expand [+] Critical and Error. IGNORE critical id41: kernalpower as it does not help us, it just means "The power turned off before i finished what i was doing, but i dont know why?".

What id and names more important does it show after u crash? Are there ones that appear lots of times per 24 hours? Dont worry about them all if u have many, everyone even with a perfect PC, still has a few events. We just need to find ones that are potentially the reason for crashing errors.

Please provide your PC specs and Windows version also....
