Anyways, it was worth a good laugh when I saw it. I posted here mostly just to see if anyone else had already noticed.
When I saw your post I just had to check it out.
We did winter survival as part of day trips....... I think around grade 8, and we used the Algonquin and the round ones you mention - believe we called them bear paw..... but pretty sure they had a (other) proper name.
If you did manage to sport them backwards - the Algonquin - it would make for a bloody hilarious video
