Floating TNT?

I joined a multiplayer server and i decided to show 2 friends where i built my big base in a singleplayer world, when we got there a bunch of floating tnt spawned out of nowhere and it created a huge explosion, it didnt kill any of us but it basically deforested the area, any idea what happened?

It is not a modder. I am one myself (i create mods). Those people are abusers of the ultimate cheat menu (the one that many YouTubers use to showcase your base). The best thing you can do is dissable building destruction or install the anti grief client (this automaticly kicks players who use the grief client, this only Works for the host).
