Access Violation (0xc0000005) is the code that an application (the game in this case) is trying to use ram it isnt meant to and so gets shutdown to avoid wider issues. As we see u havent run out of memory at only 32% in use. So this leaves it quite open to many possibilities of why it happens in any application. The first thing i would do if u havent already is verify the game. To do that go to ur Steam game library, right click The Forest, properties, local files and verify cache there. Now try and what happens? If not turn off ur anti-virus and anything u have in the task bar running. Like Discord, Origin, Uplay, etc etc. Try the game, now what happens? If no change, do the same steps as u did to verify the game, but this time Browse local files and run TheForest32.exe and how does the 32bit version run for u?
