And failing all the above?
Where or how did u change the default format? What drivers did u install? Who is your audio manufacturer? Explain it to me, as if it was me having the problem, so i can correct any mistakes if u made any. :)
1. Changed format: Playback devices > Properties > Advanced > 24 bit, 48000Hz (Studio Quality)
2. Tried multiple different sources for drivers. Realtek website, device manager, 3rd party programs, rollback to previous drivers. None of which had an effect.
3. Realtek
And I can now add hard reset to this growing list of things that didn't work.
Lastly, go to your steam library, right click The Forest, properties, local files and browse files. In the folder it brings u to, firstly try in the compatability tab of TheForest.exe properties. Tick the "Run this program as Admin". If that doesnt work... im out of ideas i think.
Update DirectX install? I dont know what version of windows u are running to know the version u need. So you will have to find it.
Also of note I was not able to use the Zip lines as it would lock me into animations and my character would take forever & a day to get across the line. And when I did I was still locked into animation able to do nothing but closing the game. Closing the Sonic Studio program also solved this issue for me.
Reopening Sonic Studio and both problem came back.
Hope this helps others out there.
Was there anything you did to figure out it was that process in particular or just trial and error?
