Stuck loading at the "E" in the loading screen

Seems my game loads up until the middle of the E in forest, and then freezes up. Started happening in my mutliplayer save last night. Currently leaving it load right now to see if I get any luck; PC Specs: Ryzen 1600, 1060 6GB, 16G of ram, Win10

Is it a large, or many months old save file?

Literally started playing last week on the save. We have a house maybe 3x2 x 2 high in walls, a house boat, and able 10 traps. A wall surrounds it. It can't be that big? it loads in like 1-2 minutes usually and now it's totally gone.

huh, yeah that's exceedingly weird, ummm...maybe try verifying The Forest's game files thru Steam?

i have the same froblem cant log inn stops at the E. 2 other pp is on the server and playing.

Same problem. Stuck at the very end of the loading screen. I can ear the sounds in the background and when I alt+tab, I can briefly see that I am at my base.

No. The save is still unplayable and I got no replies from anyone in the bug report area.

Co-op as host. I did a full bug report thing in the coop section i think

Hi there - the issue you're seeing can be fixed by reverting to a previous version of your game save - this can be done by deleting the _RESUME_ file in your save folder, and then renaming the _RESUME_prev file to just _RESUME_ . I would recommend against using ModAPI, as that can cause save game corruption.

Yep that fixed it! I know what the problem was that may of caused it too: Hitting exit to main or windows never did that. It would darken the screen a ton, but clicking it again would actually exit. Basically that night I saved, hit exit, went to do something, came back seeing it open, saved again and exitted. My guess is that this corrupted the file
