No way to kill lizards in small animal traps?

Can't seem to kill lizards in small animal traps, for some reason. There's no provided button press to execute any other action other than 'E' to reset the trap - and the lizard heads for the hills.

Any thoughts? Might be that I'm new and just missing something...

Traps are for rabbits, best kill a lizard with a spear, just poke it, or use small stones, aim the reticle on the lizard or rabbit, very effective

Stones if you want to farm for rabbit, lizard,bird or even deer meat.
3 minutes hitting the soil with a stick,then aim and throw at targets.

After practicing you,ll be a 1 throw 1 kill in no time.

I'm surprised to see that there's no button press to remove the lizard, however. Guess I'll need to move this to feature request, though I figure it's pretty far down the list of content the devs are working on:)

i use spear for both rabbit and lizard anyway inside trap. for some reason if i press e and click on the rabbit i get the meat but not the fur.


using spear i get both.
