They were using cheats from modsapi
Sure they wont mind. But they dont want to monitor players cheating or not. They have added VAC to dedicated servers that u can enable or disable. Coop, there is no other way other than private. Tbh not many games do have a way to block Coop cheaters.
Only things u can do, is run a dedicated server whilst u play the game, its harder to do, but possible if u have a good PC. You run dedicated server and you connect as a client also, as if u were hosting coop if u get me? This would allow u to enable VAC and be public. When u are finished, shut it down, just like u would playing coop. But u will have to learn a little about the DS configs, its pretty simple though.
If you want to use developer console in multiplayer then host needs to enable it.
So i dont get how u mean or it doesnt work like u think?
"you" as host.
"they" as clients (griefers included).
"it" as console, I thought about the developer console.
I didn't know about this one ^
Many people complain about modapi just like it works anytime and now I know that the host is griefed because he has enabled developer mode :D
On my single console from mod worked without developermode so I managed to believe the version with it working anytime on MP :D
If I host a game from my machine, would I still be able to join it via my machine aswel?
Thanks for the help in advance.
Edit: Forwarded the ports properly (I think), though in the console log it reports "Log: Failed to connect to Steam", I guess i've done something wrong either in the .cfg or forwarding the Steam port?
Edit: I forgot to warn you, step 2 says Install Oxide. My personal theory, is that there are issues with the Oxide mod at the moment. If u install it, boats dont move and if im correct, it also causes a thirst and sleep issue. So have this in mind if u DO or dont install it. It can run without Oxide. :)
Okay, so I've been messing around a bit with stuff, but I wonder if there's an installation/setup guide for this server tool? I'm not sure i've set things up properly, as the log tells me "Failed to connect to Steam" even with a correct server account token, with (I assume ...) the correct appId.
Any help is much appreciated.
and yes i have typed it on in the menu and hosted he cant use it
