Lighter is stuck out, and I cant put it away, or equip any other left handed items

Its on Co-Op if that matters, please help, I cant even light fires!

I had this same bug and reported it back in November.Did you light something and jump into water ? (lol you can actually swim under water with it in the dark)

I think the only way I broke the lighter animation,was by throwing a Molotov (took me hrs to find this out).

Try it and let us know!!!!.

Throwing the molotov makes it so the lighter isn't "out", but it's still stuck in your hands and you can't start fires.

And in MP the other players see you with your lighter out and lit.

Is you're cassette player suddenly missing as well? And did the bug happen out of nowhere when you logged in? If so I had the same issue and I can copy paste everything I've tried here so you don't waste time.

(Killing my character was the only thing that worked, but next time I logged in it was back to broken and cassette was gone again.)

Throwing the molotov or swimming to get out of the lighter bug does,nt work any more.Its been patched.

You could try breaking it with another "Forced animation" walking into a fire and burning or pushing a log sledge over a cliff(lets you,let go of sledge).

I've tried the following animations

- Lighting a Molotov/Dynamite
- Using Walkie Talkie/Cassette Player/Bow and Arrow
- Pushing a log sled over a cliff into water (pushing/falling/swimming)
- Lighting a fire (didn't even light)
- Burning animation (from a friends fire)
- The knock down animation from explosives
- Throwing a rock/spear
- Swinging the plane axe/clubs
- Jabbing the ground with a stick
- Skinning a dead animal

None of them have worked sadly :/. The only fix I could find was dying and respawning completely, and that only worked until my next log in.

I've only had it in happen in continued MP games as the host (continued character).

We're still currently looking into this issue. Of those seeing this issue, what game types are you running?

save game without anything in your left hand (other than the glitched lighter) then reload. The cassette player will still be missing but everything else will return to normal. This happens in Multi-player after saving game with cassette player in hand then reloading (I managed to replicate this bug by doing that). Haven't tried in single player yet.
