Big Bonfire Won't Light
Greetings!

I made a bonfire in my base, and it wont give me the option to light it. I tried restarting the client, throw molotoves and equip lighter. Nothing seem to work. And seeing as I cant destroy it, it's just a bother in my base!

Hi there. Would you be able to provide some more details regarding the bonfire? It's location may be a factor in this issue - bonfires placed in water cannot be lit for obvious reasons, for instance - as well as letting us know if this is in a new game or a previously saved and loaded game.

Here is a picture of the bonfire:

When I do certain things where its located, I hear a big "plob", like a rock being thrown into water. So there might be something about that. I also thought maybe the fire didnt work because it was resting on the rock, but I also tried putting a bonfire on the ground, where I place a red X.

Also, it's a bit odd that the bonfire won't light, but a smaller fire will light just fine, right beside it.

Thanks for the quick reply though!

Give him the location coords, some water may be exposed just underneath the textures causing that issue. Right Metamoth?

Press ESC and look in the bottom right in tiny writing. Give him those coords, he can check. :)

He is too near to water.
The Bonfires are not lgnitable within three bonfire widths near to a source of water.
I tried and tested all the fires last year and posted it with a screenshot.

Well, to be frank, I don't think that's an acceptable explanation. The small campfire will light just fine. I know it's a stretch to add logic to the situation, but the bigger fire should be easier to light and maintain, on a wet surface.

Either make all fires none functional near water, or make the bonfire work too. Especially since the bonfire can't be destroyed. So it's not like I can remove it and try again. I could if I had known the bonfire is permenant, but the game doesn't say that, so how would I know?

To me, the bonfire not being usable where it currently is, is a bug.

There's literally nothing in the game that can be built but not destroyed. Use the hole cutter.

Rock paths and ceiling lamps cant be destroyed ! (Ceiling lamps can only be destroyed upon destroying the roof)

Woah, I had no idea that worked. Thanks a lot!
Bonfire not wanting to light at corrdinates: 1375.4.44.3,455.1

Steps to reproduce: build bonfire at that corrdinates

Edit: as you can see in the screenshot there isn't even the lighter icon, might be due to the water brush?
