Where can i find racoons? / Donde encuentro mapaches?

I need help for this, i've explored the almost the whole island except the snow places, can't access there since i need the warm suit, that's why i need to find the racoon, i've collected all the necessary skins n items, just need the racoon skins, is there any specific place or moment to find it, during day or night?

Necesito ayuda, exploré casi todo el mapa excepto las zonas nevadas, ya q necesito el traje abrigo para estar allí, es por eso que necesito encontrar al mapache, ya coleccioné todas las pieles y objetos necesarios, solo necesito piel de mapache, hay algun lugar o momento especifico para encontrarlo? durante el dia o la noche?

note: i've been surviving for 42 days in hard survival, is that anything that doesn't allow to find it anymore?

They usually spawn in the evening, so not quite dark but getting there. They can also climb trees when frightened to escape, and are easily frightened. There's actually a lot of places you can find them, but places like their spawn near goose lake tend to be harder because of the dense foliage they easily disappear into. Easiest place that is also easy to describe would probably be the top portion of the fertile lands cliffs. That or the base of the big hill where it becomes woods over by the yacht.

There is an interactive map that the community put together that can help you find things like raccoon spawns as well. However, it can also show basically everything else in the game to so it can be a bit of a spoiler if you are newer as well:

go the fertile lands hill. thats one of the few racoons which can spawn even during the day. its still random to some degree to appear. but you only need 1 single racoon fur per character anyway.

Seriously the best place to find stuff for The Forest is on the internet meaning you google it ... " The Forest where are the racoons" or The Forest pc game Racoons ...

ok so for raccoons make sure they are selected you can unselect other stuff to get rid of clutter .. my favorite spot is this small pond this map shows two fish icons in the pond ...

it on the EAST side of the map just cross the river that runs into the sea

From the LARGE island on the EAST side of the map it is due North West of this island

its mostly quite there for cannibals ONCE you get up over the cliff that houses this pond .. racoons spawn there a lot even at day time and there is not a lot of ground clutter so you can see them .. have a bow staged then just move around and look no need to chase them at all ..

Pro Tip: If you use this map to get boar it seems unless you save and reload even if you wait a day or two ... unless you save or relaod only two boar spawn at each spawn on the map so ya have to keep moving to other boar spawns and you will get into fights ... or save and relaod ..
