Did you open your port in your router (192.168.0.1) and try to desactivate windows firewall
What router do you have? You can get a guide for correctly forwarding your ports at http://portforward.com/, which offers help for most models of router.
Also make sure that port 27000 isn't in use for anything else already - go to http://www.canyouseeme.org/ and enter in the port number whilst your game is not running to see if it gets a return.
If you have forwarded the port successfully, your co-op partner should be able to go into the game and connect to your external IP address (it's shown on your screen, so read it out to them). If this doesn't work try getting them to type your IP Address followed by a colon and then the port, e.g. 192.168.001.001:27000
Is it possible for me to play The Forest COOP using LogMeInHamachi? Because I saw some YouTube videos that show how to setup a server using this. Thanks.
Apologies for not replying sooner.
I've never used Hamachi for playing The Forest - sorry! I should imagine that it would work, providing you are both on the same Hamachi Network and you connect using the Hamachi IP address (I think that they start with 25 <dot> something now) rather than the one stated in The Forest client. The port will probably be the same.
If there's a guide on YouTube for it from someone who's actually done it, they should be more help than I!
I initially set up forwarding for 27000-27020, but according to portforward.com, "Forest requires you to forward the following ports: 3478,4379-4380,27000-27050"
I'm going to expand the range and include the other two ranges for good measure to see if it helps connectivity.
Depending on what firewall you run, you should be able to host a game and pull up the outgoing connections and see which port(s) are in use. This is how I initially knew to expand beyond 27000.
Hope this helps.
I know it is a late answer but the portforwerd.com webpage was right.
You should forward all the three ports. I tried out.
Good day
