Getting up into building with foundations (log cabin)
Okay, so, my girlfriend used the new foundations system to build an elevated "log cabin" on relatively flat ground. After collecting all the material she completed it and, well, now has a log cabin on a foundation.

The question now is: How to you get up there and, fitting to that, how do you get a rope up there without BEING "up there"? Is she missing something? Shouldn't foundations be used on flat ground to begin with?

I'm currently not around where she is, so I cannot check myself and as I haven't played the game myself since the update I don't know about it, but well, maybe you can help me get her some directions.

Thanks very much in advance.

if its just a log cabin then you usually have to make some kind of platform up there too that has a rope attached onto the platform, then you use the rope to climb up there. you could also make a gazillion steps (which would look cool) but thats slightly impractical.. the best way to go is to make a platform aswell (which i think has rope, if not then make a tree platform i know for sure that has rope) and use that

They're automatic now; so select say Log Cabin, then look up and you should see the outline of the foundation and the cabin above. Just remember it will take a lot more materials to finish it

Ropes are only on the tree platforms and treehouses, currently.

I typically build a tree platform first, then line up the log cabin off of one of it's sides. Works like a charm if you get them placed right!

Alright, thanks to all people with useful answers. She'll be considering this for planning the building and we're looking forward to more updates in the future as well.

Thanks very much.
