What are your specs? Does it run the game?
I think we should use this discussion to list our specs and then judge how well the game runs for us, then compare. Maybe it will help the developers gather data to better optimize the game? Or maybe I just want to brag, I don't know. But in all seriousness, I want to see what you have, and how well the game runs!! I see people with nice set ups, but complain about poor frame rate, so it's kind of fascinating to me.

My rig consists of:

NZXT SWITCH 810 Matte Black CA-SW810-M1 Steel / Plastic ATX HYBRID Full Tower

GIGABYTE G1.Sniper Z5S LGA 1150 Intel Z87

CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

Intel Core i7-4771 Haswell Quad-Core 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1150 84W

CORSAIR RM Series RM850 850W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular

SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE120BW 2.5" 120GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (for my operating system)

EVGA 02G-P4-3771-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit - OEM

It's not the best rig out there, I'm sure others have much better rigs since I built mine earlier this year, but it runs The Forest flawlessly, on maximum settings, at 60 hertz on my 24 inch tv. It was advertised as a tv, but it has an HDMI port, so it works alright as a monitor.

Sorry for being overly specific, but I'm hoping I can start a detailed discussion, here. I love computer talk!

The game runs good for me, which is pretty good as you'll see that this laptop is far from the best out there. Runs smoothly on "Laptop" mode with no lag even when on battery power:

Windows 7 Professional
Intel core i7 4500U CPU - base 1.8GHz, auto boost up to 3GHz
1 TB HDD 5400RPM hard drive
16GB Dual Channel DDR3L 1600MHz (8GBx2)
AMD Radeon(TM) HD 8870M 2GB GDDR5
Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 2x2 BGN + Bluetooth 4.0
Integrated 10/100 Fast Ethernet

Did have some FPS issues with my old HD5870, replaced and re-tuned my system and now runs "flawless" with 60fps (v-sync on HDTV). I do have my system in a 19" 4U case.. so the doors should be open for proper airflow.(all fans go 100% playing this game)

Win 8.1
Intel i7 920 2,67Ghz@4Ghz (Noctua airfan)
Asus P6T Deluxe
18Gb Dual channel DDR3 1608Mhz
AMD Radeon R9 290X 4Gb
WD Green 500GB 7200rpm

Desktop side:
Win 8.1
i7 930@3.8ghz
H90i WC
EVGA X58 SLI LE
1000W Corsair PSU
8GB 1333mhz
MSI 2GB 770GTX Twin Frozr
120GB SSD + 750GB 7200RPM HDD
X Strike Devil Red Special Edition Full Tower
BenQ GL2450HT
Logitech G930 7.1 Headphones
Razer Deathstalker + Razer Deathadder + Razer Golaithus Mat

Framerates fluctuate between 60-100 at 1080P, at 4k DSR with an extra 8xSGSSAA(Mainly just tested it to see what overkill Anti-Aliasing would do to it) 15-25FPS. Not exactly the best framerates for a very unintensive game vs Metro Last Light with 2xSGSSAA at 45-50FPS on ultra or Crysis 3 at 40-60 ultra with 2xSGSSAA.

Mobile Desktop side:
MSI GE70
2GB 860M, i7 4710Q 3.2ghz, 8GB 1600mhz, 750GB 7200RPM HDD, built in Steelseries keyboard, G930 7.1 Wireless headphones, Razer Deathadder

45-60FPS ultra vs 35-40FPS ultra on Crysis 3 and 55-60FPS ultra on Metro Last Light all at 1080P.

I have the base model Alienware X51 and it runs the game just fine even though it's a piece of crap, never get massive FPS drops or anything it doesn't seem a very taxing game.

ASUS A53S Laptop
Windows 7 Premium 64bit
Intel Core i7 2670QM CPU @ 2.2Ghz (8 CPU's)
Nvidia Geforce 610m 2GB
Page File 5k Available 3k
~750GB
4GB DDR3

Running the game on the lowest settings possible at 640x400. Getting decent FPS with only those settings.

The game runs terrible, and looks terrible, the closest trees/shrubs look like blobs, and the nearby trees look like cones....but its extremely addictive and I've spent almost 8 hours on it since downloading it last night. Just wish I had a better computer.

Here is a screenshot of what I'm dealing with....

Is this the result of a low end laptop?

It's a good thing I can download the same Steam games I own on a new PC -_-

... Oh yeah and Skyrim run great on medium settings on this PC.... Why can't they optimize the game to look as good as that...
