The Cockpit

I've seen in it one Youtube video. I have searched and searched. Is it still in the game? I know the tailpiece spawns in different locations on each game start (dont know how many different locations,or if its random) so I'm wondering does the cockpit spawn each time according to the tailpiece location? Like,its back and to the left of the tailpiece or directly behind it on the island,etc. I know its probably not that big of a deal but I want to explore it and possibly build around it.
Edit: I found the cockpit on The Forest Wiki,,who'da thunk? Wiki says that it doesnt always spawn.. New question,,,how reliable is the wiki?

Well nutters I was looking up some tips on finding it and now I might just be wasting my time?

On the one hand I guess there's a better sense of randomness if you don't know whether it made it on land or sunk in the water, but still.

The cockpit has not been in game since around v0.02 or v0.03, it was taken out because of threatened legal action by the German company depicted on the ingame cockpit, no decision has yet been made by the developers to return it to my knowledge

Haha that's a lotta fun reading this. Actually the cockpit was never in the game from what I can remember and what's been removed due to legal reasons was the logo on the top notch of the planes rear end. Funny how things get mixed up over time :D

Ugh, was I the one mixing things up? This bugs me pretty much right now. I know for a fact the legal reasons caused the removal of the logo entirely, also on the parts of the plane which are still in the game. But the cockpit ... I guess you are right about it then as I'm really having a hard time recalling the situation properly. However according to that video you're right. Still funny as hell how *really* mixed up things can get lmao

sourced off the internet last year, will try to find it again, I believe the company was lufthansa
