Is this still a guy character only game?

I'm also interested in knowing. My friend told me a long while back that you played some bald 40 year old asian guy. Would be nice to be able to customize your own character.

I haven't heard of anything for plans in the future, but no there isn't a girl character at the moment.

You might be surprised, the moment a girl mentions wanting to have a female avatar... the younger boys (Hopefully, I would hope men would know better than to partake in this ) tend to start yelling and throwing out insults. Saying its a waste of time and basically being as unwelcoming and rude as possible.

yeah, even if they left out the option to customize it would be cool if they had for example.
a hand full of people ( or however many would be on the plane flight) and at the beginning you could choose between the different people. maybe even younger and older people. ( i dont mean like kids but young adult types) and the thought of being an old woman running around killing cannibals is amusing. and maybe depending on where that person is sitting you might end up being a surviver of the back half of the plane or the front half of it.

Like they said there isn't one now. In co-op the host is usually the same guy but when a new person joins it's random what guy you get. I'm not sure how they would do it with the randomness but it would be nice.
It's kind of weird being a guy. I usually play with my boyfriend and it feels strange just two dudes hanging out killing deer and building a house together. I'd like to be a girl again..

The female character should have huge boobs and walk around with a swimsuit. After release, the nude patch should cost 1 euro, and I should get 1% for giving you the idea.

It can be, a lot of females won't speak up in the forums, just because of the attacks it can cause. I'm surprised it hasn't happened here. I suppose this game caters to a more mature crowd than a lot of other games do. >< which makes me even more interested in this game.

you could drop any female model that wasn't 50 pounds overweight into this game an not have to change a thing. our pudgy main characters can barely walk a mile without candy an soda.

but i do not recall seeing anything in the q&a or info sessions about a female character. good luck gettin any info they havn't already given.

girls play the forest. they have youtube vids to prove even. "females wont speak up on forums is trollolololol"

Which brings me to an idea.

Maybe a female charakter would be nice for a "The Forest" hardcore mode :)

The natural difference in the body type, you can't hold 2 logs, less attack power etc.
